You've heard their sound. Unique and undeniable. For many years now, DC has been known for the Go-go sound. Rhythmic beats with heavy percussion. Go-go music belongs to our area and whether you love it or tolerate it, this music belongs to us.
Because it encompasses many forms of art, Hip hop has also become a popular influence in our community.
Though it contains many similarities, our rap music doesn't sound like that of our East Coast, Midwest, West Coast, Dirty South or Virginian neighbors.
Of course our musicians and producers who create the music also have their own take on the R&B / Jazz sound.
These musicians/producers featured here are the sound of the DC area and quite possibly the future sound of the entertainment community. If you have the opportunity to work with any of these, realize that you could be possibly working with the "next" P Ditty, Swiss Beats, or Neptunes.
